Corral Beach Bar - Project Ligthouse

Our team is proud to introduce Project Lighthouse, our special initiative to make a positive impact on the environment. Just like how lighthouses have always helped sailors find their way through tough seas, Project Lighthouse is our guiding light in navigating the complexities of sustainability.

The hospitality and food and beverage industries are currently facing significant environmental challenges, and we believe that immediate action is essential to protect our planet.

Our Mission

At Corral Beach Bar , our mission is to lead the way in environmental sustainability through our Project Lighthouse initiative. We are committed to addressing the significant environmental challenges facing the hospitality and food and beverage industries. Globally, about 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted each year, contributing to roughly 8% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Single-use plastics, which constitute 40% of the plastic produced annually, significantly contribute to pollution, harming marine life and ecosystems. By adopting sustainable menu options and reducing single-use plastics, we aim to significantly cut down on waste and CO2 emissions, ensuring a healthier planet for future generations​.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our impact on the environment is as positive as our guests' experiences. We recognize that sustainability is an ongoing journey. Corral Beach Bar is committed to continually improving our practices by regularly assessing our operations and seeking innovative ways to enhance our sustainability efforts. Staying informed about industry developments allows us to adapt and evolve to meet new challenges.

Locally Sourced Ingredients

We prioritize sourcing our ingredients from local farmers . This approach not only guarantees the freshest and most flavorful dishes but also supports the local economy and reduces our carbon footprint. Our seasonall menu showcases the best produce.

Circular Food Menus
Zero Waste 

Reduction of Food Waste via Smart and Interesting Circular Food Menus: Develop menus that maximize the use of all ingredients, incorporating leftovers creatively to minimize waste. Utilize a nose-to-tail and root-to-stem approach to cooking.

Reduction of Plastic Containers & Recycling

Transition to biodegradable or reusable containers and eliminate single-use plastics. Encourage suppliers to use sustainable packaging. Establish clear recycling guidelines and bins throughout the resort to encourage proper waste segregation.

Energy Efficiency

We are in the process of gradually replacing old equipment with energy-efficient alternatives to reduce energy consumption. We will Invest in solar panels and other renewable energy solutions to power our resort sustainably aditionaly we are implementing smart systems to monitor and manage energy usage effectively.

Guest and Staff Engagement

We will conduct workshops and provide materials to educate guests and staff about sustainability practices. We encourage guests to participate in green initiatives, such as towel and linen reuse programs. We are also commited to regularly train staff on the latest sustainability practices and procedures.
